THE LOUNGE

The Lounge

The Lounge is our coffee shop, located only a stones throw from Stanstead Abbotts high street, we are open Monday - Friday 9am - 2:30pm.

 

With ample seating, fresh food prepared on site with daily specials, great coffee, free parking, free wifi and multiple power points, there's no better place to come and spend some time. We are dog friendly too, you'll often see Buddy curled up in the corner!

 

We run the coffee shop along with Lauren & Summa and we all look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to our space! If the sun is shining we also have plenty of outdoor seating around the site, by the river and in the park.

 

We can't emphasise enough that EVERYONE is welcome, you do not need to work at The Maltings Business Centre to use the coffee shop. Come and see us for a coffee and breakfast or lunch, or get in touch if you'd like to hire the space for your event.

Hire the space

Hourly rate for dry hire: £40 p/h + VAT (minimum 4 hour hire)

 

Block bookings
6 + consecutive hours - 10% off
8 + consecutive hours - 20% off

 

Charities or Not For Profit organisations - 15% off

WHAT'S INCLUDED

A member of staff that can provide tea, coffee and soft drinks in takeaway cups at retail prices throughout your hire, WIFI, sound system, air conditioning, tables and chairs to seat up to 40 guests (can be removed to create space), 2 x high chairs, mens, ladies and accessible toilet, bins with bin bags & use of the fridge. Please note we are located up a staircase and there is no lift access.

 

Set up time is included in hire time unless arranged separately. Clean up must be completely within the hire time.Rubbish and recycling can be disposed of on-site, but is the responsibility of the client. The space must be returned to how it was provided within the hire time.

Professional turbo fan oven (with oven trays, parchment paper etc.)            £40 + VAT per session

Large flatscreen TV screens x 2                                                               £20 + VAT per session

Member of staff to serve alcoholic drinks                                                 £50 + VAT per session

Large whiteboard                                                                                  £15 + VAT per session

Privacy screens                                                                                     £15 + VAT per session

6ft x 2.6ft trestle table seating 6ppl (4 available)                                        £8 + VAT per session

Any hired items must be cleaned and packed away.

Any breakages or damages must be reported and a replacement fee will apply.

Parking:

There is free parking throughout the site. Please do not park directly in front of the coffee shop staircase, use the designated parking spaces around the site.

Cancellation:

Your booking is not confirmed until payment has been made in full. If cancellations made 7 days or less before the booking, no refund will be possible.

Catering

Food and drinks can of course be provided by us. We can cater for any kind of event, from casual snacks to formal sit down and everything inbetween. In the summer we can fire up the BBQ too, so whether you'd like some sausage rolls and cookies for that 1st birthday party, a buffet of hot food or a sit down meal to remember, we've got you covered. 

We are also fully licensed so we can run a bar for you too. Simply contact us with details of your event and we'll create a package suited to you.
